Trouble connecting y pipe to headers It's those edelbrock TES kind. I have 2 donut shaped gaskets in the ypipe and I'm trying to bolt it to the headers but I can't get em' to fit together. Am I supposed to put the gaskets on the headers and then connect the y pipe or something? and also does anyone happen to know if I can fit the EFE valve onto the header? |
Re: Trouble connecting y pipe to headers 1 Attachment(s) I have the gaskets in the y pipe, is this right? then just install it? When I tried it seemed like I had to make sure the gasket was getting pressed in evenly with the header or else when I tightened it it would just get lopsided and not go in anymore. Attachment 386364 |
Re: Trouble connecting y pipe to headers yeah they go into the ypipe. You did take out the old donuts out of the ypipe right? Is that ypipe made for the headers? It's not a stock ypipe is it? |

Re: Trouble connecting y pipe to headers you know the bolts go into the headers from the bottom, no nuts required. |
Re: Trouble connecting y pipe to headers yup I put the bolts in from the bottom. I think I have it now but one question is for the y pipe gaskets, is there suppose to be any of the gasket showing after it's tightened? The gasket is sandwiched between the 2 pipes. Is that right or am I supposed to keep tightening? |
Re: Trouble connecting y pipe to headers supposed to show |
