Hi frequency start (welder question)

I just bought a Miller Syncrowave 250 and finally had the electrical put in today (240 volts and 100 amp breaker  ). On a clean piece of steel with a freshly "penciled" piece of 2% tungsten I'm having a problem getting the arc started without touching the piece. If I shut off the hi frequency start I can weld a bead just fine. I adjusted the hi freq gaps on the welder (.011" as the manual says) and still don't get any hi frequency start. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Nevermind. I just learned how important the gap is. I set it to .009 and it works fine now.
