Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale Seems like a nice deal. 44k miles. 11k $$$ Not wild about the red cloth seats. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/c...737790504.html |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale Looks great on my phone! If it were closer I’d go check it out! |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale L03? |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale That’s what I just called the owner to ascertain. He is an old guy as far as I can tell over the phone. He doesn’t know much about it but he’s pretty sure it’s TPI. He says the only thing not original are the *fuel injectors* according to the guy he bought it from. He says it’s never had a door ding and is too nice for him to use as a daily driver. He said he never should have bought it. The guy’s name is Charlie, incidentally. |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale That is a great deal.. The interior color is odd looking with the flame/gold combo.. but there aren’t many deals like that.. Must be a TPI.. wouldn’t the L03 come with 15” wheels? Probably wouldn’t be too hard to ask for a shot of the motor.. |

No TPI emblems anywhere. 16 inchers were a stand alone option. ...and that on an ‘89 5.0 liter TPI car, that the speedo would go past 110. |

Does seem like it should have a “Tuned Port Fuel Injection” badge on the rear bumper, driver side. ...and that on an ‘89 5.0 liter TPI car, that the speedo would go past 110. |

Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale Things I see: Front spoiler scraped. Aftermarket Chinese signal lamps. Aftermarket exhaust. No factory floormats. |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale Can all be easily fixed |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale Charlie is a nice guy. He's 81 years old and can't text or send pictures. Doesn't have a computer either. Someone is coming to look at the car Friday. If they don't buy it he'll call me. |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale The owner just called me about this car today. He has a "lady friend" who knows how to use a cell phone and camera. When she gets back into town, she'll send me some pics.` The person that came over a month ago left a deposit until he could sell his car, but then backed out. Charlie told me, "you know he had the nerve to ask for his deposit back after making me wait 30 days". :) |
Re: Nice ‘89 convertible IROC for sale We wanna know if that's a TPI in that or an L03. |
