How do I remove these interior pieces? I'm taking the interior out of my car and I am stuck on 2 bolts. The first bolt is holding those black pegs sticking out that hold the rear seats. (Fold your seats down, those stupid black pegs!) The other which looks similar is holding the seat belt retainers down. How do I take out the seat belt brackets out? |
Re: How do I remove these interior pieces? Is it just a bolt with a star head? if so you need to get the right tools so as not to strip it out. Thats the piece I am thinking of. |
Re: How do I remove these interior pieces? That stupid piece requires a tool called a torx bit. IIRC,the size is a t-50. |
Re: How do I remove these interior pieces? Yes it does look like a star. |

Re: How do I remove these interior pieces? thanks...this will remove the black bolts and the bolts for the seat belt retractors? |
Re: How do I remove these interior pieces? If what you are saying is what I am thinking of (where the seatbelts are bolted in at the top) then it should be another torx bit maybe even the same as the one for the black pegs there will be two of them holding the seatbelts in and to get to them you have to pull down the headliner. :-( |

Re: How do I remove these interior pieces? If u are doing ANY kind of work on these cars, torx bits are a must |
