An alternative to the poor fitting 4thgen door panels 5 Attachment(s) I have 4thgen panels in my car right now. But let's face it they have many flaws and need a ton of work and will never look 100% on the money. So opted to blend the newer T/A panels with 4thgen components. It's fairly easy to do I did a bit of glassing to get everything right and it looks pretty much factory I also used some of the 4thgen back board to get the outline for the handle area just right. It's also a good choice for those with stock dashes and want a nicer panel. I am going to make some speaker boxes at work that will go where the map pocket was. I also bought some nice vinyl to do these in but I do not have the skill at this point to work with vinyl and get it to look perfect so I chose felt for now. Here is a few pics: Started with this idea: There is no good way to make the lower part work it just doesn't flow all that well so I ditched that part. Attachment 437974 Basicly you glass in this area so you can make it smooth for the material , I bonded the 4thgen backboard handle area and then glassed over it , then sand sand and sand some more.
