Rear hatch release handle
 
The only way to open my rear hatch is with a key i will eventually be putting the tail light blackout on and i want to be able to use a handle or a lever to pop it open is there a simple set up i can use

on my camaro the electric release was an easy bolt on.i use an aftermarket module to control it and the power door locks.im not familiar with 84 firebirds.

There should be a switch too. If not you will need to install a switch to start the up-cycle on your 1991.5-92 style pull-down unit. The solenoid release for a 1982-86 or 1987-early 91 will not work for your 91.5-92 style pull-down unit.
