RPO label question Hello guys after a long time of bean not a owner of a third gen. I'm back , yesterday a bought the 85 TPI with near perfect interior with 123k miles. Have the interiors of my first Iroc back in 1987. Now the sad part is the RPO label is missing. Is possible to find a copy a RPO label with the VIN number? https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...5f3564340d.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...cadd8127e3.jpg |
Re: RPO label question Tag for info. My Trans Am RPO label is there, just nearly completely illegible. |
Re: RPO label question You may have a build sheet on the underside of the passenger bucket. If there then remove the seat to extract it from behind the seat support wiring. Otherwise you can order a dealer invoice from GM for $50. But it will have less detail than the build sheet. |

Re: RPO label question Any other spot that built sheet can be? |
Re: RPO label question All of the build sheets I have found have been beneath passenger seats of Van Nuys Camaros built for approximately the 1984 model year. In the upper midwest the majority of our cars were built in Van Nuys. Others have found sheets throughout their cars. But maybe after 84 it was less common. |
Re: RPO label question Build Sheets Are Hit And Miss,They Weren't Required To Be Left In The Car Your Car May Not Even Have One. |
Re: RPO label question In my 92 TA the build sheet was hidden under the passengers door panel, but I have the SPID in the rear storage box. Also in my long gone black 92 V6 it was at the same spot. In my 88 GTA I wasn't able to find the build sheet and it is also missing the SPID. But I never looked under the seat, I always thought they hide it just under the door panel. I have the dealer invoice so I know it is a real GTA, but as stated above, it shows only a few things and not everything. Will have a look under the seat next week. |
Re: RPO label question With the VIN, dealer invoice, and radiator support body tag you can confirm a lot of information specific to an ‘85, including month and week of build. |
Re: RPO label question The build sheet in my 1987 IROC was under the drivers side bucket seat. Did you look there? Mine was Van Nuys built also. |
Re: RPO label question I https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...b418ddf56.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...25ca8bdc4.jpeg I will going to check under the seats and both door panels. At the same time is a good opportunity for a good clean up. This are the labels in the driver side door. |
Re: RPO label question What year did they start putting the RPO sticker in the back storage pods? |
