LS swap oil pans Spohn k member a arms set up for drag, pulling tires 6 inches. Its there a cheaper bolt on oil pan i can use? Corvette, holley hot rod pan, gm hot rod pan etc |
Re: LS swap oil pans Fbody, C5, C6 |
Re: LS swap oil pans BTW superchevyperformance.com is $198.50 for the Fbody pan then around 50 for the windage and pickup tube. not gonna find it anywhere cheaper then $250 with new bolts/gaskets etc. But even the LS2 or LS3 vette pan should fit with a tubular K Jay |
Re: LS swap oil pans Im using a C6 pan with a spohn K-member and it has tons of room |
Re: LS swap oil pans I thought c6 and c5 had the same pans. I would go with a c6 pan |
Re: LS swap oil pans C6 pans cost more than f body pans lol i wanted something cheaper |
Re: LS swap oil pans C5's have a batwing pan (two styles, 1 piece and 2 piece) C6 had a pan similar to the Fbody pan, a tad shallower but a rounded at the front hump. I have found very many C6 pans for cheap since they seem to be the pan that come on most GM crate LS motors. Jay |
Re: LS swap oil pans Thats how I got my pair of C6 pans |
Re: LS swap oil pans I just look on ebay and they want 400 + for them. I will keep a eye open for them. C5 pans i can get but i will have some large headers dont know how it all will fit. |
Re: LS swap oil pans This is whats on my LQ4: $169 http://www.improvedracing.com/oil-pa...ods-p-390.html EDIT: sits too low if your car is lowered. I'll take pics and post it up so all can see. |
Re: LS swap oil pans Time and time again, the muscle car (H8) pan is too low for 3rd gens |
