Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! 4 Attachment(s) Here is a couple pics of my headache. I haven't done anything visual to it yet. Working on the tune right now which seems like it will take forever. Loaded up with all the latest and greatest Moates.net hardware and absorbing as much info as I can. These are pics from the day I brought her home. Attachment 383496 Attachment 383497 At her new home. Attachment 383498 After a quick rinse. Attachment 383499 |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! That's a sweet IROC man. That's my faveorite color for the model. How many miles you got on it? |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! I can't remember if it is 67,000 or 76,000 but it's not much either way. I actually bought it from a guy over there in Katy back in Feburary I think. Needs a lot of work but luckily very minimal rust. Mainly the tuning and wiring are the bulk of it. So who did that sick a** paint job? Looks like alot of hours went into that thing. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! 3 Attachment(s) I bought it this way for $2800 on craigslist from a guy up in Cypress. A place called Auto Toyz Customz did the paint job here in Houston I believe. I had to rebuild the transmission and had a Corvette shift kit put in. That was like $1700. Needed new tires too. I just got the rear tires. They were about $500. Nice ones though. Nitto NT555s 285/40-17s. Freakin 10"s wide. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! Nice, I guess with those wheels you don't have to run spacers either. I always liked those nittos too. Great performance for pretty reasonable price. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! They have a great life time as well. More than I'll ever need for this 5.0 haha. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! |

Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! Those are some nice leather seats man. Where'd you get those? |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! That really is a clean a** car 92rs. Do you ever hit the local weekend car shows? I also like those leather seats. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! It is VERY clean. I also like the guages that are under the air vents and over the radio. That's a different steering wheel as well. I actually like the one that comes in it stock though. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! the seats are from a 1997 camaro. steering wheel is from a 1999 camaro. gauge panel is for a right hand evo drive car to go on top of the dash. i do go to the kemah show sometimes. but have not been to the home depot meet in pearland but have been wanting to. |
Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! Here are a few interior pics (as promessed) Interior still undergoing Restoration, but so far I've cleaned it out, replaced all broken or missing vents, replaced missing rear view mirror with aftermarket one, and installed a custom made leather (yes real leather) shift boot. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/pict...ictureid=27123 https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/pict...ictureid=27126 https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/pict...ictureid=27127 |

Re: Lets see some Houston Area Thirdgens! 1 Attachment(s) This is an old picture but it looks about the same today. The only difference is the 17x9 steel rims with 275-40's all the way around. One of these days I need to get it out to a track. I'm sure it will run a high ten...but I don't expect anyone to take my word for it, with out a time slip, I'm just another pretender... The 11.8in my sig. was back in 2005, it was running poorly that day... |

I'm actually debating about removing the cat back and going to 2.5 pip rather than the 3 mandrel i have now... |
