Front & Rear???

Guy's I just bought a 1991 Z28 with stock wheels. The tires on the wheels are all dryroted. I found a good deal on some older Iroc rims with good tires so I bought them. Everyone who posted said the wheels were all interchangeable. I am in the process of fighting to get the factory lock nuts off so I can swap the wheels. The special tool to remove them did not stay with the car. So removing these nasty things has become my new problem.

Anyway, I see the stock wheels are marked front and rear. The wheels I bought are not. Am I going to have a new problem when I put these wheels on?

As far as I know, all IROC wheels are marked front and rear. Check my Car Details below for a pic of the single stripe version, 85-87, IIRC. The newer version was two stripes.

I'd like to see pic--I can't believe the IROC wheels aren't labeled front/rear.

BINGO! Th 15"s are not front/rear specific, only the 16" ones are.

Not if you use the same tire diameter.

True, but will the original poster be that lucky?

Yes they are 15's...and I am that lucky. The wheels are an 1" smaller but the tires on them are a little bigger. The fronts are 215 65R 15 and the backs are 225 50R 15 they appear to have the same height as the stock wheels only not as wide.

Those are Z28 wheels, not IROC wheels. Although they were available as an option on IROCs.
