are my rear breaks the same as 1LE breaks

I have a 89 gta and I do have the four wheel disk breaks. I want to put the 1LE breaks on my car in the front. I have had many people tell me that they are the same as the 1LE breaks on the back of the car. Can someone tell me for shure.

thanks

In 89 all camaros with rear disc brakes got the better 11.65 rotors with the pbr calipers, they are the same as teh 1les, teh front brakes are 12 in rotors with dual piston pbr calipers where the back is only single piston.

First, its "brakes". A "break" is when you stop and rest. https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/smile.gif

And yes, the 89-92 f-bodies with disc brakes have the larger 1LE rear brakes, but only the 1LE cars got the special larger front brakes.
