help with timing adjustment? Angle
 
hi friends,
I need your help to finish timing adjustment with timing light on my 88 tbi camaro. I need to know in with part of scale ( 12 8 4 0) I must adjustment my car distributor, Also I need to know angle for timing light. Also I need to konw at what rpm must I make this?

I think it is in a sticky.

I time it from almost straight above the motor, but do it wherever you can get a good view of the timing mark, and tab.

Factory, is adjusted to zero. I had pretty good lucking advancing it to 4*. You need to time it at idle, with the ESC unplugged.

Its a brown wire located on the passenger side of the engine bay near the wheelwell, blower box, strut tower area. Has a little connector you unplug and then start the car. (this will set off the "Check engine light" and its ok). Then you set the timing. When your done, turn off the car, tighten your distributor, and plug the wire back in.

What unplugging the wire does is stops the vehicles computer from adjusting the timing, allowing you to set it to your "base" timing....
