vacuum adjustable fuel pressure reg Is it absolutely necessary to have a vafpr to make an engine idle at 23 or so psi, or can I simply run 2-65lb injectors at 23 all the time. I'm getting my fueling system sorted before I start tuning w/the Flash EBL . |
Re: vacuum adjustable fuel pressure reg if you read about TBI mods it tells you how to make your stock fuel pressure regulator into one you can adjust yourself, i did it and works great. all you need is a di grinder. |
Re: vacuum adjustable fuel pressure reg I run 33 PSI through 55pph injectors right now at idle and have no issue. I am sure the idle could be cleaned up a little if I were to run on though. |
Re: vacuum adjustable fuel pressure reg Thanks for your answers! |
Re: vacuum adjustable fuel pressure reg you are doing what I did. run higher FP in lieu of utiliizing a VAFPR which i have on my Aeromotive reg but never used. watch your DC at idle to see if it bottoms out. mine did. also at idle i would flip from synch to asynch to reduce fueling which caused a surge and enleanment as fuel was being cutoff(asynch). so i ended up running synch only at idle. but with a 383 you may not have these issues?? |
Re: vacuum adjustable fuel pressure reg get the holley apr it's by far the best. You don't need a vacuum one. Not yet that is! |
