LT1 cam and valve train compatible with gen 1 roller block?

LT1 cam and valve train compatible with gen 1 roller block? My brother paid $400 for a 89 Iroc 350 engine that someone had converted to a hydro flat tappet. Damn thing spun a bearing a month after we put in his Nova. I've got ready to reassembly and now he's decided to go back to a hydro roller except I've got no retainer, dog bones, or roller lifters. Someone has all the valvetrain for sale from an LT1. Just curious if they're interchangeable. Thanks in advance. Also what are the specs on a stock LT-1 cam?

You'll have to shorten the dowel pin, either by cut off, or hammer it in further. Roughly 5/16" is what you're after. Any length is alright, just so long as it's fairly flush with the timing gear, can't stick past it.

Also, don't know what your setup is, but LTx cams don't have fuel pump eccentrics. If you have an electronic FP, then this is a non-issue.

All the LT1 valvetrain stuff is compatible with the Gen 1, as long as its a factory roller block ('87+). The only exception is the timing set.
