setting timing marks

is it ok to simply line up the timing sprocket marks to set the timing on my 355.will I have enough adjustment in the distrubutor?I think using a degree wheel and all that is a little above my current Know how.

You mean cam to crank timing? Yes, dot dot is fine, either 12-12 or 12-7 (< TYPO!!!!!!!!!!), doesn't matter. The only diff between the 2 is stabbing the dizzy 180 apart.

12-6 would be a lot better than 12-7.

Personally, I always do 12-6. 12-12 is just too much of a guess.

Distributor timing is not affected by the cam timing since you're going to be adjust that, anyway.
