help replacing starter I am having issues taking out the bolts that attach the y pipe to the manifold is it possible for me to just take off the clamp on the other end of the y pipe to give me enough room to take out the starter? |
Re: help replacing starter You shouldn't need to touch the exhaust to remove the starter, at least not if it's the factory exhaust. Turn the starter with the nose down. Comes RIGHT OUT. |
Re: help replacing starter Thanks it came right out |
Re: help replacing starter Is there any difference if you have headers installed? I have been putting this project off for a few months due to being afriad it's a PITA. I believe that they are Edelbrock. |
Re: help replacing starter I had no problem with headers when removing starter. Not sure what brand they are, came with the car. |
Re: help replacing starter you will have two lower y pipe if you have edelbrock headers |
Re: help replacing starter I am having similar issues but I have aftermarket dual pipes. would I have to remove the shroud to pull it out. Because I have one pipe and two cooling lines and I don't want to stress the lines. If there's a trick let me know PLEASE |
