Low Mount A/C Compressor?

I was wondering if they had anything like this for a gen 1 SBC. I would love to do a stealth mounted A/C compressor on the pass side where the air pump used to be without having to re-locate the alt.

I think that would be SWEET!

I've already removed my smog pump, and based off that picture it looks like the compressor would fit in its old spot.

Cool find no doubt!

Well I actually did find it. However, it is made for the older muscle car era long style compressors.

I DID however find a low mount alternator bracket setup. I'm thinking of doing that so I can keep the alternator and the compressor on the passenger side.

I don't like the long positive cable for driver mount alternators nor the horseshoe hoses for driver mount compressors.

Low mount alternator setup.. Hmmmm..

I wouldn't mind moving my alternator down there either, get it low as to showcase the TPI more and move some wires outta the way... oh, and to keep my tools from touching the positive connection at the back of the alternator and scaring the crap outta me when I get a 4th of July sparks show in my face!

The valve cover not hitting the positive post if definitely a plus. I've killed two batteries and had to rebuild the alternator once already from that.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is water splashing up onto the alternator.

5 cents spent on a rubber boot might save you hundreds.

LS1 has alternator down low on driver's side. Rubber splash guard around sway bar keeps the wheel spray off the alt.
