what do you think of my nearly stock dyno #'s

well i just got back from the dyno today and it looks like i am making great tq, more then some i have seen while searching the site but less then the hp the same people are making.

anyway the car has very limited mods, 80 series flow but some idiot but 2.75 piping over the axle instead of leaving the stock 3in piping. a ported plenum, slp runners lightly worked, k&n's in cut-off air boxes and a slp airfoil. this is a single cat car running an autozone cat.

i made 206.7hp from roughly 4k to 4.6k and 300.9 ft/lbs at 3.1k. what it looks like to me is i am peaking on hp earlier then normal and just hanging there. my tach is way, way off, turns out! so i had him rev the car to 6K which was less then 4.8k on the dyno. didn't matter about a couple rpm though it had already tapped out clearly by looking at the run.

I was happy about being over 190whp in a 230chp car, but what is the %age of drivetrain lose in a 700r4? bone stock of course, not even a shift kit yet.

any opinions? the tq seems to be great better then some i have seen on the site especially for limited mods but the hp is lower at the same time.

If I'm not mistaken the stock torque rating for that year was aroudn 330-340 lbs/ft wasn't it? It definatly seems like you should be putting out more hp, but then again your exhaust is probably choking you.

yeah the tq was 330 for a single cat car in 89, so the tq looks great but the hp flat lined from 4k upto 4.6k then started dropping. the tach was off so bad we only hit about 4700rpm tops, tach was reading 6000.

well i just realized while talking to 1 of the guys that was supposed to be at the dyno day that those numbers are not SAE corrected yet. i'll have to place a call tomorrow and get the correction.

those numbers are raw wheel power completely uncorrected and straight off 2 runs total.
