Dyno Results

My dyno numbers are 370rwhp @ 5700rpm- 401rwtq @ 4800rpm. What kind of e.t.'s should the car make and who has simular numbers?

Dont you already know the answer to that? :p
I'm gonna stick my neck out and say a little more than the trans or driveshaft can handle. :D

Could it be 12.56@109.62 ;)

Orr89RocZ 11-28-2005 11:39 AM

370 rwhp and that torque should trap higher than 109.

330rwhp ls1 cars do 109 if driven right. u have 40more hp. and alot more torque.

i'd say low 12's at 112

You may just need to get some traction.:burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

cali92RS 11-28-2005 12:44 PM

Nah, I say the problem is weak driving...

Check my sig. (Yea, I think my car should be faster)

Your car should easily run into the high 11s with a good 60' time and the trap speed should be about 114mph.

ir-regardless of your sig.

BTW: is this a trick question????

Vincent just had his car dyno tuned. He picked up a little power and torque. Those are his new power numbers but the times are from the pre dyno tune.

I don't think he will have any problem getting into the 12.4's. He is racing at California Raceway which does not have the best traction in the world and is not among the faster tracks.

He is doing quite well considering it is a 355 and completely California smog legal.

I might add that Dyno Don is turning out some good motors. There are a couple comming down the pike that out to put down some good numbers.

VincentZ28 11-29-2005 10:34 PM

No, this is not a trick question. I'm just curious to know what kind of e.t.'s some of you are running with simular numbers. I just dyno the car 11-26-05. My e.t. in my sig was before the dyno. California Speedway 1/4mi track elevation is about 1800 above sea level.

VincentZ28 11-30-2005 11:02 PM

Ok! Here's my Graph. Dyno Don posted my graph for me.

What do ya'll think? The e.t.'s was done before the dyno. A new chip was burned after the dyno. No new e.t. yet.

I think 300+rwtq from 2300rpm-6000rpm is pretty nice curve with a 401.32rwtq in the middle.

Those are great numbers.

I dont know anything about altitude and ET effects. But, I still believe that if you ran the car at Norwalk, Ohio, you would be in the 11s.

A dragstrip at 1800 ft is going to have a noticable effect on ETs.

Does anyone have a good relationship between ETs and altitude?

VincentZ28 12-09-2005 07:11 PM

I think at sea level the car should run in the low 12's around 113mph. That's my goal I hope!

VincentZ28...I assume you are running a maf set-up?
How much Dyno-time did you need to dial the car in?
Great #'s BTW.....

He is running a MAP setup. It was during our club dyno day so he only got a few adjustments in. He has more power in it with some more tuning. He will post when he sees your response. I'm just confirming his post. ;) I will also say with a few more mods and a little tweaking he might hit 400RWHP. All with a California smog legal 355 and very streetable as he takes the car on cruises with the club.

Converted to MAP 6/05. $75.00 an hour, about 7 pulls and still had time left. 10 times street/track tunning. As you can see by the graph, it's a little rich. It's in the 12.14-12.56. It need to be in the 12.8-13.3. It's still pulling 3-5 degrees of timing. The distributor is at 8*. I'll back it off another 2*. That should stop the slight pinging. It may lean down some while going down the 1/4mi. It may also lean down with a 58mm throttle body and pick more HP. We shall see in about a month from now.
