305 Fuel Injector question So my intake gasket decided to go the other day, and I noticed a nice little pool of coolant that had seeped out on to the intake manifold. I start to unbolt the TPI and fuel rail and noticed I have two injectors that are pretty filthy. The engine is a stock 305. Do you recommend I get the stock 19lb injectors or has anyone upgraded to the 22lb? Anyone know the difference (besides price) of these 19lb injectors? http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...d&productId=60 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FIC-F...Q5fAccessories Will these fit with no modifications? If you recommend something different, please do not hesitate to share. |
Re: 305 Fuel Injector question stock=stock your computer will thank you |
Re: 305 Fuel Injector question I believe the first set of Blue Demons are FIC's brand of injectors and the second set are Bosch II injectors(older version). Both will work fine and are direct fit. Most people on this forum like the Bosch III's for $169, call Jon at FIC, he is graet and will gladly help you choose the right 19lb injector for your car. For the record, I purchased a set of the Bosch II injectors last year for $124, my 305 car runs like an animal ..... I would maybe upgrade to the Bosch III's based on the rave reviews from this forum. I would check if the Bosch III's are 19lbs, if they are 22lbs, you may have to change your chip. Again, call Jon at FIC, he will do you right... |
Re: 305 Fuel Injector question Get the Bosch Design III from FIC. I have them in my 305 and it runs very well. Start right up. I got the 22 lbs injectors, but my computer has been programmed to run with them. Without prom tuning you will need to stick with the 19 lbs injectors. Call John at FIC, he will take care of you. With the intake runner gaskets and shipping my total cost was around $220. It's some of the best money I have spent on this car. |

Make sure to program your computer for them. You have to change the injector constant. |
Re: 305 Fuel Injector question As I said earlier, if you get the Bosch III's you will have to reprogram your chip. If you want to stay stock, go with the Bosch II's, this way you won't have the added expense of AFPR's and reprogramming chips. Jon will tell you the II's are good injectors, the only difference is Bosch III's spray with better atomization and are a newer version. I have the Bosch II's and my 305 runs great...just my 2 cents. |
Re: 305 Fuel Injector question ive purchased a set of type 3 injectors rated for the stock 19lb of my car do i still need to have my chip reprogrammed?? |
