MAF sensor- which one to choose?

I need a replacement MAF sensor, and found www.rockauto.com they will send it at a reasonable price to Europe.
But there are several choices:

2 new ones:
Airtec/Wells #5S2640

Standard Motor Products # MF5877N.

Both seems to be of a different design than stock, f.i. I see no heated wire ...

And three reman. ones:
Standard Motor Products # MF5877

A1 Cardone # 744712

AC Delco # 2133418

Cardone and AC Delco are the ones I know of, I don't know the rest.

Which one to choose for a stock engine?

My choice would be the Air/Tech Wells Maf (SU-145}. Reason it flows more air and the design is a internal film instead of the hot wire. I have been using the Wells Su-145 for 12 yrs now on my 350 TPI swap.

Do a search on this site for Wells SU-145 and you will have more then enough info to make this the Maf you order.:imo:

beware the re-man ones, for this you should buy new. i reccomend a new one from "richporter" quite pricy, however well worth the investment

What's the problem with the reman. ones?
Btw, since yesterday, Rockauto doesn't offer the Airtec/wells maf anymore...
So the only new one would be the Standard Motor Products one, but it is of a differend design...no heated wire, but on the other side, it is the least expensive Rockauto offer, even cheaper than the reman. ones....??

Any thoughts or experiences with this new Standard Motor Products MAF sensor?
It is very inexpensive at least...

It seems to me that the Wells SU 145, the Airtec 5S2640 and the Standard MF 5877N are all the same, right..?

They say Airtex and Wells are the same company, so this should be actually the same as a Wells SU 145..??
I asked about the sticker in the picture, but got a reply that it comes with a different sticker..??
Can anyone confirm that Airtex and Wells are the same?

this is the very LAST place you want to go cheep with. all the re-man ones come from CHINA. you need to buy a NEW one once and be done. OR you can go with the rest and actually spend more time and money than a new one costs.take it from me ,i bought 7 re-man ones . the last of which lasted all of 15 minutes. now i have a new one, and i couldnt be happier. sure they cost $$$ but they are worth the money

Ten years or more, Wells was involved in a patent dispute over the MAF film design and it may have been with Airtex. I know Wells Lost and did not make that design again. So Airtex may be the Wells old MAF, because SU-145 is the old part number and the price was also lower at that time. So I would give it a try.:imo:
