(T56 swap) Dakota Digital Users?

Are you using the SGI-5?

Does anyone happen to know the proper settings for using this with a T56 and 3.73 gears?

BOTTLEDZ28 04-16-2002 09:19 PM

i just installed mine and i am also using 3.73 gears but i have not got to run it on the street yet. im still putting fiishing touches on new motor. i will let you know what my settings are set at tomorrow or something. it can give you a good starting point.

Um.... I believe I used the setting for 1.2800 for my 3.70's... which is probably close.

Brian Shaughnessy, how well does your speedo work in your car with the dakota box, any problems with it like a bouncing speedo needle or stuff like that?

Brian Shaughnessy 04-19-2002 09:12 AM

Sumtimes it bounces while idling.... like up to 80 or so... why ???

I suppose I should run a real shielded twisted pair from the speed sensor up to the dakota box... but I'm either A. lazy or B. too f'ing BZ at the shop working on my Charger or the GTA's rear end right now.

Is the setup on 4th gens to use twisted pair?

SGI-5

Using the SGI-5, no bouncing needle at all. As for the setting it's best to get another car with you and compare speeds, then do the math as suggest in the instruction and then you will have the correct settings, no matter what rear end gear you are using.....

I have no bounce in mine. Would have to look at what my setting are. I know, that it is off at some speeds though, just have to do the follow me thing and set it.
