Re adjust your TV/Kickdown cable.

yea. them tv cables are a pain in the butt.. There is actually a set of peassure readings that tells you if you have it done exactly... But you need a pressure guage that you can plug into the tranny. I believe it was 700r4.com that had the info, else you could call them up and get it.

Thanks verry much, ya it does make sence because it dosent make up its mind when shifting,

If ya need directions on how to set it correctly let me know. There are pressure readings and it's a pretty involved process though not at all tough to do. But it does require a buddy. It's not really all that necessary to do on a basically stock 700.

Interested, please explain the procedure.
I've relied on trial and error for too long :D
One of these days I should install a pressure sender in there and log the thing to see what is going on with line pressure during different driving patterns.

I just went to 700r4.com.
Very good info on how the system works.
Cleared up many "theories" of how to confirm the setup is "set" properly.
85camarocrazee If you have any additional info, please add.
Thanks guys :)

Good luck. This is a common problem that is rarely caused by a maladjusted TV cable. Most of the time it's worn 3-4 clutches or weak springs.

From what I've just read (Very good explainations) my whole problem is definatly the "not returning" to proper start position. "Long spring syndrome" as they called it.
Exactly matches my issues with hard part throttle upshifts and delayed shifts. At least its not a quick damage situation as the alternative short spring is.
At least I'm on the right path now :D
