Grabbed some Corvette 19x10 & 18x8.5 wheels

I couldn't resist! They are chrome, but look just like these:

http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNj..._id=880000500F

19x10 rear
18x8.5 front

I am wondering if anyone on here is running the same size (I am pretty confident a few of you are!) and what size tire you are running, whether you're happy with it, or wish you went with a wider/narrower tire?

Also, I am running stock rear end in my 85 Camaro, so I'll need spacers all around. I am going to mock up the wheel and measure to see what size spacer I want, I've heard 2" and 2.5" but let me know what you're running!

I'm STOKED!

Looking closer they are "Made in China" so I would assume that means aftermarket/knockoff rims... oh well thought the price was too good to be true! (Paid $145usd for the set)

I am looking at tires, and I think Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is my choice... the lowest price high performance tires I can find, especially up here in canuckistan.

From what I've read and researched I think

285/35/19 rear
255/40/18 front

My only dilemma is 285 or 275 for the rear.....

Personally, I would budget a few more $ for better tires - you already have a great deal on the wheels.

Tire size looks good for the wheels.

I run the exact same rims except they are GM wheels. I love them, love the look. You will need wheel spacers for these. I have 1.5' front and 2' rear on mine. The tire size you listed should work but check the clearance as I have 275's in the rear. 285's were on the car when I bought it and it rubbed the inner well when cornering under load. I have 245's on the front. I agree with the OP and don't cheap on the tires. I put these Cooper Zeon's on and I really like them and the cost was reasonable.

They might not be able to get the size I want in the Indy500, so he's going to call me tomorrow with some options...

From everything I read though the Indy500 is a good high performance tire, no reason to say it's "cheaping out"... maybe if this was my year round daily driver or something but it's just a nice weather cruiser :)

A 285/35 is a good size. It will keep sidewall similar in height to the fronts. Could even go 245/40 fronts for better match.

285/35 may require some heavy inner wheel well work with hammer to clear. May need 2.5" spacers on rear to get it to clear if 79 mm offset

Re: Grabbed some Corvette 19x10 & 18x8.5 wheels

I have the oewheels 19x10 on the rear with 285/35 and had some fender lip rubbing with 2.5 spacers. Had to do some inner fender massaging as well. I just got some 2 inch and had to do more massaging plus take off the bump stops and grind the back side of them a bit to clear. Have yet to drive it to see if I need to massage more.
I also just put on a adj. panhard. So if the 2 inch won't work with some massaging I will try the 2.5's with the new panhard as the fender lip was only rubbing 1 side.

That a hell of a deal for one of the best looking vette wheels imo.
