C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS 11 Attachment(s) Thought i would share this info with anyone trying to do this, i didn't find much info online prior to doing it myself. For the fronts it only required 1.5" wheel adapters and clears everything. For the rears it required 1.5" wheel adapters and i had to smash in the wheel wells a bit, not too much and hard to tell in the pics, but once you have the adapters a couple of test fits and you can tell what is needed to fit, but i also had to cut the bump stops out because i did not want the wheels to stick out, im sure you can get them to fit without cutting them off and installing thicker adapters, but the wheels will stick out that much more. with my set up i have at the closest point 5/16" clearance to the lower control arms. my lca's are aftermarket boxed in style, so im unsure if this would work with stock or other style lca's. Summary: Front: 1.5" wheel adapter 18x9.5 Z06/GrandSport wheels +40 offset 275/35/18 tires Rear: 1.5" wheel adapter 19x12 Z06/Grandsport wheels +59 offset 325/30/19 tires My previous setup which fit with greater clearance and required all the same modifications to not stick outside the car: Front: 2.25" wheel adapter 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels +56 offset 275/40/17 tires Rear: 1" wheel adapter 17x11 ZR1 wheels +50 offset 315/35/17 |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Looks great, nice job! I have have the exact same (Grandsport) wheels and tires on my Trans Am project. I have a 4th gen rear (actually a 9 inch that's 4th gen width) so it works without spacers in back. I think I have slightly less spacing up front as well. |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Nice setup |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Bulge of the tire is flush with the flair. That's just how I like them. Looks "really" good. 18's and 19' look perfect. Gives it a little "stagger" without looking to "old school". And a Absolutely Beautiful Car you have there. Nice job... |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Could you snap a photo of the right rear in relation to how close the tire is to the panhard rod mount? I am in the middle of a mini tub install to run basically the same wheels and I think I am going to interfere with the panhard rod. It looks like you didn't have a problem. Any underside pictures of the rear on both sides would be awesome! |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS i just installed same sized wheels with 1.75" spacers on the rear, so i just went out to snap 2 pics. If its a 4th gem width rear you'll have no problems. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...f07b4d5d9f.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...e404cc019a.jpg |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Good lookin car! ...but to be honest, I like the ZR1's better. |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Don't normally like anything larger than 18" for more than one reason, especially on the Camaro, but this combo looks awesome! I think bc the front is an 18, and the 19 is just used in the back where the styling of the car is conducive to a larger wheel. Now you need some really BIG brakes.... |
Re: C6 Z06 Wheels installed. 19x12 18x9.5 PICS Looks good Even tho not a fan fir corvette wheels but a lot of meat out back now |
