Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? Hi all, it’s been a while since I last posted. Got a question. I recently purchased a set of (4) 2015 Camaro wheels and tires and plan on putting them on my stock 1988 Iroc. The wheels are 18” 18 inch 18s x by 7.5” 7.5 inch. The offsets are 38mm 38 milli 38 millimeter from what I can tell. The lugs are 120.65mm 120 mm 120mm 120 milli. The tire size is a 245/55R18 on all fours. I am running drums in the rear. Here is a link to what I have. https://www.autorimshop.com/chevrole...SABEgKIF_D_BwE Thoughts, concerns? I’ll be attempting in trying them and will repost once I get them installed but thought I’d ask ahead of time. Thanks! https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...4725364b3.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...ade522e70.jpeg |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? I just sa a pic of 20” Camaro wheels on an 80s Corvette, but don’t know which year, or anything involved. Given your wheels narrow nature, could work. |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? The tire is 28.5" tall, that's a lot for the front. |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? Yea, that is a hugely tall tire |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? All, I tried installing them today with no luck. There is interference with the hubs on the front and a lip on the rear drums. Everything else looks good to go other than the tall tire as you all suspected for the front. However, I really won't know until I try it. Looks like I will need at minimum a 1.5" spacer for the front and a 3/4" for the rear just to clear. Thoughts on where I could pick some up? Thoughts on moving forward? Thanks in advance, -Chris |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? ebay or custom ones made |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? You will need spacers and 40 series tires. |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? Update: I did get the spacers in and test fit the wheels and tires. With the 1” spacers out back there were no issues as far as fitment. The fronts however interfered with the chin spoiler when turning with the 1.5” spacers. I also witnessed that a 120mm and 4.75” lug spacing is different and did not feel comfortable bolting the purchased 4.75” to 4.75” spacer for the 120mm bolt pattern. I’ll be purchasing some 4.75” to 120mm spacers from EZAccessory at 1” and 1.5”. Ive also decided to run my wife’s equinox 17’s on my car and have already swapped these 18’s on hers. Will send pics once I have them installed. -Chris https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...3b75f6780.jpeg |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? You need shorter tires so they dont rub the chin spoiler. 30 or 35 series tires will do it |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? Nice fitment. What spacers do you have? Do you know where they came from? Can you send tire size out front? Thanks, -Chris |
Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? The 5th gen uses a different bolt pattern (120 mm) than the 3rd gen (120.65 mm). You might get lucky and have enough positional tolerance to get the wheels to bolt up but don't be shocked if you don't get them to. Its not a good idea IMHO to run anything other than a true 120.65mm (5 x 4.75") wheel. |

Re: Will a 9599047 or 9599048 wheel fit? Are these wheels worth the trouble ? Looks nice for sure but def need to be wider |
