1987 "Special Edition" triple black IROC Convertible #0103 VIN 2
I just picked this car up yesterday & came with everything except 305 longblock & tranny.
Seems to be a pretty loaded car that was produced 1/87. I understand that this is an ASC car & NOT a 20th Anniversary car. It also has the 6th digit as a 2 & obviously was not a factory designated vert.
My question is: I've heard that the production # of these from ASC was 256. I'm not sure where that # cane from but also heard 400 & 2500 (unrealistic).
Love the car and going to get paint & back on the road with lots of new parts.
Killer color combination with a truly loaded 87.
Anyone have more information on these non factory ASC verts?
Great Score! I have a VIN 3 87 convertible and Ive just spent 4 years on a total restore. almost done. Still have a lot to learn but if you need help save my member name and PM me anytime.
Same here, I just got mine back from paint finally after 3 years of working on other stuff - almost there.
Nice find and worth the time, people do like the vert Irocs.
Your car looks amazing!
This 87 project is my 3rd IROC currently & my 2nd vert. How can you not love the look of the convertible.
Looks a lot better with a wash.
