i feel like i went back to 1985 and bought a new car today
History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!

Very well done. Congrats.
At 10k miles, it's just mechanically broken in. Hopefully the 10k miles were spread over the past 31 years instead of having accumulated those miles all in the first year.

How does it perform?
i just took it out a couple of hours ago and it runs like new .. trans shifts perfect and it handles like a new car .. felt like i was driving a new car off the dealerships lot , nice and tight .. i am a little worried about high speeds on the factory gatorbacks though ..

man that thing is mint, I would hold onto it for a little while and see how you like it before selling it again. a car that mint is pretty hard to find.

I get that exact feeling you speak of each time I climb into my car. The smell of the interior is the same smell my 82 z28 had back in the 80's and immediately triggers that feeling of youth. A cruise in my IROC through my hometown with Eddie Money's "I want to go back" playing on the Bose and I'm instantly transported back to 1986!
