History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!
Keep an eye open in Wal Mart for this "AW" 1/64. I've only found them in WalMart, can't find them stocked in ToysRUs, Kmart, or Target. $2.99, and very detailed. The '84 comes in red and blue, but so far I have found only blue. The '92 comes in black and teal, and I've only found teal.
Edit: I think this may be the same as the Johnnie Lightning, but I'm not positive
These just started to hit the walmarts here in pa a couple of weeks ago.So far Ive only seen the teal 92 but one Walmart got the assortment with the 84.Unfortunetly it was already gone so I'm still on the hunt
So, alread had a blue, picked up a red one for $2 and a black for $1 at a swap meet this past weekend (along with some much needed carb parts lol). Took 'em out of the package and displayed on the bookshelf Maybe at the Spring meet I'll find a yellow for a buck or two lol.
I've found 20 of the new KITTs & treasure hunts as well as super treasure hunts this week, but never have seen this. KILLER. Now I have to hunt even harder. Thank you for posting the heads up. Are these the $1 cars or more?

LMAO same here have found and traded for 50 of the new hot wheels KITTS and same here found about 10 $upers @ Target/Wal-mart to trade for more KITTS lol These will pop up next month in HUGE dump bins at Wal Mart. Come like 300 cars. 3-4 cases
And yes the 50th Ann Camaro series will be .94 cents at Wal-Mart.
Only thing is they could have atleast painted it white/red stripe 25th Ann colors to coincide with the anniversary theme

Hey! Leave a few for the kids Electric Bill. You don't gotta collect em all. What with your fortunes and all, does it really matter if they're $1 or more?
Nice to see they're getting the mileage out of the Iroc mold. Anything that's not a fantasy car is unusual anymore with all the crap in the HW line up.

I feel for your sentiment, but i disagree. Buy every one of these suckers you can find. Show Hotwheels that if they make it, people will buy it. Vote with your money kind-of-thing.
I agree and disagree... I buy plenty of them, but I do try to buy only the quantity that I'm going to personally collect or trade to my circle of friends. If the first guy that comes along clears the shelf of every single copy of a car, the next guy that comes looking will have to turn to alternatives like Ebay. Maybe it'll start a vicious circle of hording collectors that ****** up every deal that comes along, only to artificially jack up the market.
I really need to find a way to safely ship these things affordably. I'd love to liquidate some of my duplicates, but even a small box is more expensive to ship than they're worth.

I guese im not a TRUE third gen guy ? lol , Bought 10 of the IROC's and one had a wheel error
Dave
You'll buy more possibly but I have a feeling the '67 & the IROC will be the 2 that will be harder to get.
I also bought a few complete verticals sets but confused why they used 2, 2013 castings in the set, no 2017 cast & such strange colors on all of them... they are not the greatest representation of the Camaro line. They have a 68 casting as well as a 70 or 71 casting too.
It would be super cool if they did all the Pace Cars as the Anniversary set.

I used to buy die cast and scale models of cars I own(ed). Or wanted. Now I've sold most, and just focus on buying the 1:1 scale versions. Had too many small scale on the shelves or in boxes. Bigger scale is more fun, but still sit around in their "boxes", usually.

I build a different Christmas themed Dealership pretty much each year. This year it was a tribute to the old Frazier Williams in Milford Ohio where the 87 was delivered new.
I wish they'd stop dumping variations in multi-packs. They take up a lot of space and generally contain a lot of garbage I don't want to pay for, or look at for that matter. Taking up too much space is the #1 problem with my Thirdgen collection. I don't have room to display them the way I'd want to, and I'm almost to the point where I don't have room to store much more.
Found a better picture of the 'totally rad 80's Iroc' we'll see if it hotlinks... Apparently it's a Walmart exclusive Camaro series coming in 2018? I'd rather buy a series of Camaros individually than buy yet another multi-pack...
Not Hot Wheels, but I picked up a Sear's RC 1982 Trans Am at a local toy show last month. It's a relic from the dark ages of RC toys. You turn it on, either high speed or low speed, and the tires start spinning. The transmitter controls the steering, and has a reverse button. "Radio controlled" is used loosely. Needless to say there's a reason it was still virtually un-enjoyed in the original box... Or maybe it didn't get used much because it requires a drawer full of batteries?
