right now it's just a stock 76 van rebuild, but i have a set of ported heads and a comp cams 282 cam for it. I know the stock 5 speed won't hold up so i have a 4 speed sag that held the power of a big block for a year without wear. So that will go in untill i can afford a aftermarket 5 sped for it. Unless anyone knmows where i can get a wc 5 speed and how i can build it to handle about a max of 400 horse(eventually) Any one see a white 84 Z with royal purple ground effects runnin around saskatoon? that where my old Z went.
hey I live in melville saskatchewan, and the only one with a unique 85 camaro, but two days ago it was stolen. ****. It was a great car. Big 295 fatty on the back, 3" cowl induction hood, frsh new black paint job, edelbrock parts etc. But gone now.
Originally posted by 87RedGTA Hey, here in Regina, got an 87 GTA L98. Not much for mods now, but just got new heads, intake, headers, trans, etc. I'm very busy this spring...
Oh, well the tranny in there needed a rebuild, so it's coming out to get it and a rebuilt 700r4 going in with 2400 stall and transgo shift kit. I'm also putting on ported and polished corvette l98 heads, some hooker 2055 headers, and a holley stealth ram. I'm not sure about getting a cam yet, sure would like to but we'll see what kind of time i've got...After all this i'm gonna have to make some runs to SIR and see what i can do.
Unfortunately no, i've never been so SIR yet with it, i had no time last year to do that, and i've been fixing little stuff with the car - had leakey valve guides, hence new heads. So that kinda sucks because i won't be able to see how much better it will be, but will still be fun. From these boards I have an idea what the stocker should run, so i'm not concerned.

Well, I look forward to seeing you out. The track opens on May 6. All of the race dates can be found at www.racesir.com .
I've had my brothers red 87 L98 GTA out at the track many times. The best it did stock (only a K&N and no cat) was 15.1@90mph.
Hi everyone i am new to this website, I live in Regina, some of the members here know me for my 9 second 77 camaro street car. I am looking to buy an 87 Iroc this week, time to step over to the dark side as it were LMAO.
Just recently purchased an 85 Camaro IROC-Z, to be my Project Car.
I am from Saskatoon. Enjoyed the Show N Shine @ Canadian Tire Saturday.
The car came with a 305 that is fried, not sure what else is wrong with it.
Slowly working on putting a 350 from a 81 3/4 ton in it.
From what I have seen, this car has burnt out its engine atleast twice. How are you guys keeping your 3rd Gen. cool?
I used to have a 1984 Camaro that had a custom airbrushed hood but it was totaled in a car accident in the winter of 2001.
I just recently traded a Fiero that I had a customed up for a 1986 Camaro Z28.
Just figured I would say "HI"

Does it have the stock air dam? That is an integral part of keeping that coolant temp down. How old is the rad? It could be plugged up, and not cooling properly. Any questions feel free to add me to MSN.
The air dam was in place, but not at the right angle because of cracks. I have fixed that, and added a steel curve to the bottom to invite more air up to the rad. The rad was new, but got so hot that the tank separated from the core. Got that all fixed, too, and had to put a new heater core in as well. The water pump was new and the seven blade thermostatic fan should draw enough air to cool.
Just dropped a 350 in this week, hope to get it running this weekend. Will see if heating is still a problem. This car has a huge A/C rad infront of the regular rad. That may be why this car has heating problems. Not enough air getting to the regular rad.
Will keep you informed.
The A/C rad in front shouldn't hurt anything, the air still flows through. Have you put a good high flowing water pump on there? That could make a difference. And what thermostat is on there? Have you replaced that too?
If you need anything, give me a call, 249-3003 and I would be happy to help you out.
I am just putting in a 350 from an 81 Chev 3/4 ton. The engine temp. was always normal when we ran the truck. If I have heating problems, I will call you about a high volume water pump. It has a 180 thermostat in it. What do you use?

Hi I'm from Kindersley Sask. I got a Candy apple red with white stripes 91 Z-28. Right now shes a 305 tpi with no major motor work done. Got a custom built 4L60 auto trans built last year good for 500+hp with a custom manufactured 2400 stall torque converter. In the process of finishing some tpi siamesing, porting work and installing C5 Z06 18" motorsports rims with Nitto Invo tires. Maybe next year I can start building the 406 motor.

I have a stock white 81 z28 with a 350/4spd. My uncle from Calgary gave me his 88 SC with a 2.8 /5spd. I havent gone to pick it up yet, and even if I do go get it, it probably wont pass the safety, lol.
Hey all,
I am from central Sask and own a 83 berlinetta. I have recently been inspired to get her fixed up, as she is sitting with no motor or tranny at the moment.
I have 3 kids and work as a Paramedic...
I look forward to getting some good info/inspiration from ya'll.
Chris here, currently in Rosetown but moving to Nipawin on the 31st of August. Just bought an 85 T/A 2 weeks ago, currently working on getting the body all done up. Needs a new paint job and a few odds and ends.
Its the 305 H.O. 4bbl. Pretty much stock except I have put on an edelbrock 14" air cleaner, a edelbrock intake manifold, and I did the exhaust.
