LS1 (F-Body) Maintenance Accessibility Questions

I'm still gathering parts and slowly starting an LS1 swap from a '00 donor into my '92 RS. I plan on having A/C.

I know there's multiple ways people go about accessories. For those with the stock F-Body including A/C, is there any issues with access to replace parts? As in, can you get to the alternator, starter, and compressor to swap them out if they go bad without having to pull or lift the engine?

It's all pretty accessible. I installed the starter under the car. Alternator is easy to get to as well... I have T-tops and the car never sees rain so I didn't bother with A/C

For the most part, yes....w/ the 4th gen f-body accessories anyway. Its a tight fit for the alt/comp, but they will unbolt w/out touching the eng.I do have a MSD dynaforce starter, so its mini sized, but I'm running manifolds.

I cut the minimal off the x-member for the AC comp, cause I wanted the as much original metal intact as possible, so my ac lines are pretty close to the x-member, but they don't vibrate/touch anything.I did re-route them though.

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. The relocation brackets look nice, but I'd rather stick with the oem look if they don't cause issues.

I'm at the point getting ready to notch the crossmember, and like 84 1le, want to leave as much original metal as possible, but not at the expense of having to lift the engine to replace the compressor.

Funny enough, it looks to me like the only way to remove the engine motor mount thru bolt is to remove the starter.

Yes, even with the engine out of the car, lol. Accessories should come out pretty easy. There is a good bit of room. Only thing that might be tight is the compressor, but the bolts are on the side anyways so I would think it should come out ok if need be.
