I had to make my own (not too sure what this part is called) brake line bracket. As you can see in the first pic, the stock brake line was in the piece that I'm holding and was held back by the bracket attached to the strut. Well the Wilwood brake kit I got did not have that, so I has to improvise.
So I had to make my own, because I have no idea if they make something like this or not. So I browsed around Home Depot and found this part in the electrical department. I trimmed down the long thin neck and then bored out the hole on the bracket that connects to the strut, so it can fit.
And then I ran the new Wilwood steel brake lines through it and clamped it down tight. It won't budge, pulls the brake line out of the way where it belongs, has room for the line to move up and down during suspension travel, and because it's plastic, it won't fray the line.
Well, what do you think? This cost me about 8 bucks and took about an hour to do. Input? Comments? Critique? Let me know. And if there is an actual part that does this, please let me know. Thanks!
I just dont use a holder anymore. I have a set from Hawks that got the PFE outside layer to get ripped off a bit when I tried to use the factory clips. Haven't had any problems. Drove from Chicago to Alabama right after I took it off.
