The Duke! I just like odd stuff. The Duke, some Pontiac Super Duty parts, an S-10 5 speed....would still be slow, but fun to row through the gears.
How's the rest of the car look?
Or, find a totaled Solstice GXP / Sky Red Line and swap the powetrains.

Yup; probably would sell at the same price as a rolling chassis (i.e. w/o engine or trans), minus a discount for somebody having to take that ... thing ... out of it and get rid of it.
Also would tend to be a low-optioned car although not necessarily; but typically when a new car buyer buys the absolute bottom-of-the-line engine, they go for pretty much bottom-of-the-line everything else too.
Plus of course, it needs ALOT of body work, which further depresses the value.
Probably worth at least twice as much parted out as whole. Might be $300 - 400 worth of useable stuff there, depending on if the other door is any good and the interior isn't trashed and so forth.

driving the duke seems like one of those humbling experiences millennials should have to remind them of how great things are today

Buy it. Clean it up, and see what you have to work with. New tires, clean out the fuel tank, replace all the fluids with fresh ones, and see if it will come back to life.
