I'd expect the confusion comes from the RPO definition. T93 on some GMs would be tinted or smoked, but on the Camaro it just signifies the grid tail lights vs the single stripe tail lights. The evidence is in the Parts and Illustration book. The T93 tails are listed as "Special tail & S/Lamp" for 85-90 applications. The other tails listed for 85-90 are the single bar style. Also for 91-92 applications where only the grid style tail lights were used, the T93 spec isn't mentioned, but the part numbers are the same as the 85-90 T93 lights. So there you go, T93 on a Camaro 85-90 just means grid tails.
