Your car is already lowered more than an inch. It's AN ANTIQUE. It was lowered an inch about 2 decades ago.
For comparison, that teal car in the last post above me, is a good 2" below original; maybe 2½". And it isn't really particularly low. Even still has the original shopping-cart 16" wheels & tire size on it.
Don't be too surprised if you buy "lowering" springs and your car sits HIGHER than it does now. Wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
I agree with Sofa on this one. All depends where you start. 1" means nothing. Gotta measure. Measure perfectly straight up from the ground, through the center of the center cap, and get a measurement of the fender. That'll be easier to compare apples to apples. My 1989 car, in 2004, sat about 27 and a half (fronts) on the day I installed my Eibach prokit. After a month or so of settling in, the prokit put me right at about 26 and 5/8". Again, "ish", LOL. Right now, with the Ground Control kit, I'm at about 25 and 7/8" in this picture.
