Can these be adapted to a 3rd gen, and where do they get relocated to?

Yes there are a few threads on mounting both tanks
the coolant tank would be mounted under the passenger side battery area with little modification

The coolant tank on the camaro would mount under the hood latch bracket. Not sure on a firebird and how much room there is
