So got the bad news the other day that one of the wheels I bought a while back has a bend and a crack in the middle, so unfit for driving. No biggie, I knew they came off a rear-ended car so not upset with the seller or anything. However, I'm now looking for a couple 16" Formula rims in very good condition. I only really need one, but if someone has two for a good price I'd consider it since one of the rims I got is bent but salvageable.
Heh, getting creative. I figure I can use the cracked one as a testbed for refinishing. I brought them to an actual wheel re-finisher but they said they'd have to melt out the little plastic "screws" around the rim in order to powder coat it. So I can try all the caustic chemicals and paints I want without having to worry about it
Hmm, well I paid 400 shipped for the four of them. That was with $168 shipping. I can get the one fixed for under $100 though, but that's ballpark I guess. Cheaper is better of course but I'll pay for very good condition wheels
