Quick wire ID needed

Been searching but can't find it. 1987 GTA, 350 TPI.

Cleaning up wire wiring and see this. Green/White twisted together with Blue/Black in the loom. Can someone tell me what these wires are for and whether this is common.

The smog stuff has all been removed.

Nobody knows?

I have a shop/service manual on the way I guess I'll find out once I get it.

Bob88gta....if that was the case, wouldn't that make the IAC inoperable?
