Hood Fender Alignment

Any suggestions on how to lower this side of the hood to line up with the fender? I tried the adjustment screws, but it's currently adjusted properly where it sits correctly with the bumper. TIA

Re: Hood Fender Alignment

Try removing the hood strut and seeing if that works. It's possible the hood strut's rod is longer than needed and one side is sticking up because of it. You could also try removing the rubber bumpers on the inside of the fender. Remove them one at a time to see if it does anything. Of course, the hood and fender are OE GM items aren't they?

Re: Hood Fender Alignment

you have an adjuster on the back of the hood Hinge ea side.. (its drops/lifts back of hood)
remove the rubber boot from them..go easy thay are old..

and your front latch & stops.. you might move fenders up to bring in line with hood..IF you cant drop the hood down.
if you do this you can lift the back of hood in the back with the adjusters.. for that just right fit..

fits like it was made by GM..after adjusting
