Need help identifying this...

Hoping someone out there can help me identify what these wires and black connecter is for within the yellow circle. 5.7 Tpi, The connector seems melted and in really bad shape. Wondering if it's still available new somewhere. Thanks in advance CHEERS. Rick.

Im not sure what that is exactly. Austinthirdgen.com has diagrams that will tell you.

i know for certain you can cut and splice new connectors(any style) or take connectors out all together and splice wires direct. I did that with my whole engine, and hvac harness during my swap. All those connectors will cause issues. Just get rid of them
