Just finished for tonight. I was able to swap out the driver door tonight.

I was able to get some more work done today. Looks like I'm going to be cutting and welding more then I thought

 

Started the painful task of cutting and replacing the floors

 

Great work so far, really looking better. I really think that it would be awesome to get her to look like she did new, yellow paint is uncommon and being a convertible is less common especially if she could possibly be a 1 of 1. I would try my best to keep her original color scheme. otherwise glad to see her coming back to life.. can't wait to see more updates!

 

Thanks man. Still debating if I'm going to keep it blue or go back to yellow. The yellow with the black top and interior would look nice though.

 

I have a black interior in my 87 but want tan. Maybe we should figure out a swap. I'd be up for a drive with my black 87 interiorfor you tan 87 interior.

The tan interior went in my brothers 89.

 

Finally finished school and was able to get some work on her done today.

 

The more I see of this car, the more it needs to go back to yellow. Not 1 yellow 87 Convertible was ever known to be in existence. Here uou have the ONLY 1 in the World & it's not yellow SAD

 

If I do go back to yellow thinking of doing this color

Got some work done on the car today. Dash and front windshield. Removal.


Found rust under passenger side dash. More cutting and welding to do.

Core support paint code is 19. Is that yellow? I could look it up but I'm not at work....

Picked up a new door for the passenger side. Very clean.

 

 

The paint code on the radiator support tag is 19. That is BLACK. I just looked it up on our paint mixing system. If that radiator support is original to the car....it is not a factory yellow car.

 

 

but who knows if its had the radiator support changed. If it had a color change at one time....they went to an incredible amount of work
