GTO donor LS into a 3rd gen?

OK, so I'm planning my LS/T56 swap into my 91 RS Convertible. I looked over the pinned post about the swap here and it stated the poster did not know at the time of the post if a GTO donor LS would have an accessory setup or oil pan that would clear the hood and K member of the 3rd gen. Has anyone answered that question yet?

The GTO oilpan is front sump, it won't fit a third gen, but I could use it for my BMW swap. IDK about the accessories.

The accessories are shared with the CTS-V and will fit under the hood no problem. The only caveat to that is the AC compressor which will hit your stock K-Member. You will have to notch the stock K-member or buy an AC relocation kit/bracket from someone like Kwik Performance or Holley. An aftermarket K-member helps but the GTO/CTS-V AC location still does not fully clear the k-member. Not sure about PA Racing but this holds true for BMR and UMI, likely Spohn too.

LS1 GTO shares the same AC bracket as Camaro. BMR K member clears everything. Downside to BMR is you must buy aftermarket A-arms too, which is another significant cost. And frankly I think my BMR K member is pretty flimsy. Stock K member is a beast by comparison.

For the most part yes, however on my friends swap the BMR K-Member did interfere with the AC which required a little bend work on the K-member. Like with any aftermarket part though, be prepared to make adjustments.

My BMR k-member clears by a country mile. I've had two of their k-members and they were built differently. Seems they don't have a good enough eye on what their workers are doing.
