You might want to ask the seller if he has that piece.

Nice find, I hope you can locate this part without to much trouble.
Sounds like you have a lot missing to complete the air system.

Re: 1986 IROC with a 350tpi...
I have a 92 Z28 with an LB9 that I am removing to replace with an L98. I am removing all the AIR components which are complete and in working order. Not sure how different if at all this is from the 86 system, but if interested let me know.

well I do have an 86 z28 with the IROC packge but my engine is a 1990 5.0 tpi... so I would think it would work.. I will check and see. I mean it has headers on it now... but wanting to get all smog equipment... Do you have a pic or pics? How much you want for it,if it is compatible?

The manifolds might work. But the air pump mounts differently on the serpentine belt setup vs v belt.

It’s still on the car, but I can get some pics to you by tomorrow. Shipping would run about $50 to ship everything out to AZ. Manifolds with tubes, pump, all the other odds and ends? How’s $150 to your door?

They are a ho 305 head used in 85/86. I don’t think the air pump would bolt on its different for 88-92.

what would be all of the other odds and ends and can you send pictures of everything except the air pump and is that $100 for everything plus the $50 shipping or $150 plus the $50 for shipping

The other pieces were the AIR diverter valve and the various hoses that connect to the manifolds and AIR pump. $150 to your door means shipping included. How soon would you need the manifolds? If they’re all you need, I’d do $115 shipped.

Don’t know about the spacer as I haven’t looked. If it was there from the factory on the Z28, then it’s there. Car hasn’t been modified beyond regular maintenance items. How soon? I’m a UPS guy so I work very long hours. Can get pics Saturday.

Thought that too. So he would need a later y pipe to bolt up to the manifolds. Says he currently has headers now so will need a y pipe anyway as I don’t know of a y that fits both manifolds and headers.

He might be able to get a exhaust shop to build him a y or if the y he has had the right angle for manifolds flare the pipe and install a flange.

I have a Y pipe on it already pipes that they put on this car they rent them from the headers into one pipe and then out the back and into the muffler and then splits out the muffler into to pipes. So, I think I should be able to just weld everything right up to it maybe extend the pipes a little bit but I should be okay I believe we're running the same exact heads right I'm running 416 and I think you're running 416 heads or are you using the 018 heads? But it should be pretty close I would think anyways just looking forward to the pictures and figuring out how you want to do this.

Re: 1986 IROC with a 350tpi...
Yes, I have all the smog stuff installed with a extreme street cam in it and it passed emissions. A lot of people frown upon the reinstall of the smog stuff, but I cant get it licensed in Utah unless I have it installed. I am treating the 350 as a 1987 350 TPI (all sensors) All the vacuum lines are set-up for my 305 intake plenum and 48mm throttle body. Once I get this engine settled down as far as the valve train issues, I am going to install a 52mm throttle body by TPIS (TPIS.com) anything larger, throttle body-wise is too big. Tried a 58 and it sounded like a huge vacuum and did a lot of self flooding. Cold starts were an issue as well, so I may take the lower water casing off the 48mm (since I have two set-ups, and modify the 52mm to remedy the situation. I had some issues with the exhaust manifolds as well. I used my 305 exhaust manifolds and slightly ported them to better match. I had full piece Mr. Gasket manifold gaskets and they leaked like crazy, so I got the genuine GM singular exhaust manifold gaskets to get a better seal. You probably should read the info on 305-350 swap very closely and understand, that if you use the stock 4165 OBDI, you will have to get it programed, unless your planning on installing a wire harness that was for the engine your installing. My MAF, IAC, are all for 87 350 TPI

F stands for the month the next number stands for the day and the last two numbers stands for the year F290
Several pictures up clearly show 5.0L stamped on the back of the block.
By the way in 1986 GM did make 50 1986 TPI 350. They tested them and it did better than the vet. So, they didnt release them to the sold.

well we have some progress I got the manifolds on finally they look nice in there I'm missing some pieces for the air system also found a heater hose that's just laying in there somewhere so there's a few more things and I have to take care of and reroute and figure out how they go and right now I'm removing the rear axles because I needed to put new brake hardware on it and backing plates so that's kind of where we're at right now but I did fire it up after I got the manifolds on and it sounds really nice

I don’t think there was a 350 offered in 86 in the f body.
If you post up the letters on the computer chip I can identify it for you.
I’m guessing it might be for a 305 still. The 305 uses 19#hr injectors and a 350 uses 22#hr injectors. If you do t have a custom tune already you might be running rich.
You can use 88-89 computer chip in your ecm.

Re: 1986 IROC with a 350tpi...
has anyone ever used a rethreader kit to clean threads out? Here's my situation I got the differential all cracked open drained out cleaned out got rid of all the sticky black crap in their nasty oil now I'm trying to put the cover back on but I'm having a problem because the ding dongs who had this car before me decided to use black RTV and run the bolts through it and throw them into their holes now that's going to cause a torque issue meaning it's going to give me false torque readings when I go to torque these things back down so I need to clean out the threads I've watched several things on thread Chasers so I went to AutoZone and I got what they call a rethreader kit but I'm wondering if that's actually going to work or not so I'm a little hesitant to put them all the way in to pull the crap out because I don't want to rethread it I just want to clean it

not sure what size I need... I've used the ones that seem similar in size to the bolts but again like I stated I'm a little nervous because I don't want to recut threads or damage the threads I have because my bolts will go in just fine I'm just worried about twerking issues that's why I want to clean them out
