Bought this new many years ago, sat in its shipping tube on a shelf. Upon removal from tube I noticed slight corrosion, but it cleaned up with steel wool. There is some light pitting on the journals straight down the line where it lay in contact with the shipping tube. Can see it, but can’t feel it with your fingertips. Don’t know the reason for the “stained” look, but it’s smooth. $75 shipped.

 

I'm interested. So you say you can't feel anything, that's it's just stained?

 

Yeah, it’s smooth to the touch. You can see the small pits in the last pic. I was going to run it, but decided on a hot cam instead.
