The problem isn't so that I can't reply. It's that when I receive a PM (unlike when I receive a reply to a post). There is no link to click on. I have to go to the forum and manually open my inbox. Who do I contact and how? I've looked around the user CP, but I don't see what would address the issue. Any help appreciated.

 

Are you talking about an email notification of a received PM? If so, I checked and it's still in the email:

I believe the email notification of a received PM has only ever linked to the Inbox. not the specific PM.

Also, it has always required visiting the forum to respond.

 

Yes, received message notifications. Normal notifications have a (blue) high lighted "link" you can click on to open the thread. PM notifications used to have a similar link to the inbox, but mine dont have that "link" anymore. This is the second time this has happened. Can you fix it or is this the new normal way?

 

It's that blue link that you get when one receives a notification to a post one is on. My PM notifications used to have a blue(text) link to click on. Which would take you to the PM page where you could then open said PM to reply to.
I don't have that blue link in my PM notifications anymore. It's on my notifications to public threads, but not PM notifications. This is the second time it's happened. It was fixed the first time, but that was years ago.
Another quirk, I replied to you over a week ago, but the reply is somehow not posted.

 

That shouldn't have changed and mine is still there. The contents of the notification are not changeable per account so there is no setting.

I suspect that the issue may be with your email program and it may be blocking the URL.

What is your email program? Forward me one of those emails that doesn't have the link. My email is my username @thirdgen.org

 

Ok, I forward you a PM notification I received this week. I have yahoo email if that's what you mean, but that's doesn't make sense because normal notifications (to threads) have the link or URL to click on.
