Bound to happen with rubber in the fuel lines, went to fire it up after the long winter hibernation and gas everywhere. The high pressure fuel feed rubber end came out of the fitting. #2 on the attached PDF
Thank God it was cold and not running down the highway.
I bet it will be almost impossible to find this premade hose assembly anywhere so checking here first just in case somebody knows
What I ended up doing when one of my rubber fuel lines finally went in the engine bay is replaced 'em both with some -6AN line. I cant recall the thread sizes for the fittings off the top of my head (and bet they'd probably be different on your car vs a '92 V6), but basically: -looked up parts numbers to figure out the thread size/ pitch for the fittings for the return and send lines -got adapters to make 'em -6AN + some new o-rings -got some bulk -6AN line and -6AN compression fittings from Summit
I used the black nylon sheathed AN line instead of stainless, was pretty easy to cut to length. Whole job took maybe 30 minutes, no issues in the 2 years or so I've been running 'em looks like the bends in your fuel lines are a bit more extreme than mine, so you might want to consider getting 180deg fittings. AN line is pretty flexible and won't really kink, I just wonder if it could make that bend on it's own... either way, it'll let you get the two pipes connected again, up to you to decide how you want to plumb it all up, you got some options
Thanks for the reply LLCooLM495
I took the hose and GM fittings to the local hydraulic hose shop.
They cut the GM fitting at the base and welded/ brazed on some fittings: 3/8 Push on 47976-6 to match up to the cars hardlines.
The fittings and the 1 foot of hose was $7.40,to weld/braze the fittings $25.00 each ,Total cash $57.40,$42.07 US
I looked into the compression fittings, hose, and wow has that stuff increased in price, being in Canada you can double the costs.
So if this repair holds, Im good with this, fitty bucks well spent.in my world.
Hope this post helps anyone else that has this problem
