91 formula build up

Well I havent really documented my entire build up on my car so I thought I would finally share my pros and cons thru out my build. I bought my bird from the original owner with 76k on the clock and it was in excellent condition just a small rip in the drivers seat, needed new catback system, 305 tpi. So here is my parts list:

Rebuilt .40 350 block with 350HP rebuild kit-trashed during breakin due to bad seal on intake gasket- sold motor for $75 just for parts

425hp crate motor from proformanceunlimited.com- get this only cost me $2500 pulled from my buddies 72 chevelle he had to sell

stock t-5 transmission resealed and inspected $100

Hurst short throw shifter $189

Zoom stage 3 clutch $300

magnaflow catback system $289(brand new)

Hooker headers $170

Hooker y-pipe $225 (piece of sht, their jig is off by at least 1/4inch on both pipe flanges

Energy suspension bushing kit $100(pain in the A$$ to put in a-arm bushings)

new fuel line $40

fuel line clips $9

pulled bbk fuel pump from tank modified pick up to run new carbed setup

BMR panhard bar with 3 point strut tower brace $169(excellent products)

rear end seals $100 installed

Rebuilt 4 disk brake system $25

New brake pads $99

New brake lines $100

KYB shocks and struts $100

new wheels and tires from custom wheel market $1000- fit perfect does not rub 275/40/17

new custom interior $800-had original seats reupholstered redone in black vinyl and red suede inserts with the phoenix embroidered on headrests, new front carpet, redone t-top headliner, redone door panels

new kenwood cd player with install kit $39-my mom works for bestbuy so i got it cheap

new 6x9 speakers $40

new front 4x6 $50

new headlight motors $79 each-pain in the A$$

new paint(after xmas) factory flame red with the phoenix and formula ghosted in black

used washer reservoir $15 with new pump

Motor install $300- guy pulled old one out and installed new motor wired it in and fired it up(great work finished in a day)

BMR trac pack
BMR subframe connectors
new temp sensor
overflow bottle
6 speed manual
new weather stripping
wire in speed sensor on trans

LT1 6 speeds are great man, you will love it. Otherwise, i hate the edelbrock carbs like the one in your pic, Holley is the way i roll.

Ya i agree on the edelbrock. It was on the motor when I picked it up. It likes to run a little rich on startup but one it warms up she cruises out nice. I only tach 2200 rpms in 5th gear at 70 mph. I also bought a spectre air intake system for it just waiting on it to show up.

march pulley system the whole package with msd and carb cost my buddy 7500 it was installed but only had around 50 miles on the motor when i pulled it from the chevelle
