My passenger side headlamp motor stopped working period a couple months ago, so last week I bought one from Dave Mc one the TGO classified board. Well, like a sucker, when he said it was a two wire motor, I believed him. Lo and behold, when the motor arrives, it has three wires. The green, the grey, and a mysterious "blue" wire.
Wtf?
so I slap that baby in there, with the superfulous blue wire hanging out, and to jack's utter lack of surprise, it doesn't work properly. The fixture raises when I turn the lights off (in opposite synchronization as the driver side headlight), but won't go down again under its own power no matter what. So at least I can drive with two lights now, but I was wondering if anyone here had any comments or suggestions to get it to work right, out side of spending more clams on another motor. Since that's kind of an obvious solution.
Thanks in advance.

Well it seems like you have a few wires crossed. do you have them going "grey to grey and Green to green" and so on? If so try various combos with the blue wire. or switch your wires. try Grey to Green
All you can d is a trial and error, see which ones make it go up and down. One of them may be a ground as well. you might not have it grounded. Not sure if it has a ground. but yeah. try it, see what happens.
Dun blame me if it blows up though
just kidding most you would do is blow a fuse.

Thanks, it was recommended that I just splice the green and blue ones together, assuming that the green one isn't the ground wire. But that should be easy enough to find out.
