My daughter is taking a class on the internet, and found the dial up modem is so slow that she had to log on after midnight and wait an hour even then to get into the class and download the material. So we got a dsl, but when we tried to load it, it wouldn't go in. The tech people were out today to trouble shoot the system, and found that one in twentyfive Windows 98 programs have a "glitch" that rejects Verizon's dsl software. We are blessed with one of those one in twentyfive! The tech support guys had to call their supervisor to find out how to by pass Microsofts "glitch" in oefer to get us activated. I also think Lon's problem with my e-mail bouncing things back was also connected with the same problem. I think everything should work now.

So does that make your Win 98 more valuable? Your are going to start adding that to your signature? "Rare Win98 1 of 25!" Glad you got a faster connection and are over the headaches of a dial-up. Welcome back.
