You have to follow tpi steps when setting timing.. What is the problem you are having with Timing?

I think some additional information will help to troubleshoot the problem(s) you are having. When did the problem start? And then you replaced all the parts you indicated but did that make the problem less, worse or no change? Also did you try to set the timing at all so far? Does the SES light come on while driving or attempting to drive, if so have you tried to retrieve the engine trouble codes?

I would check out this section of TGO to help:

Glad to hear that it helped

Make sure you do the testing you can to make sure its really the injectors, I had a gremlin to chase down a couple months ago, I went through just about all of the fuel system before I found a clog in the return line to the fuel pressure regulator.

Good luck

I'm going to back up Randy on this. DON'T jump into the injectors just yet.

Check your fuel pressure before you do anything. It should be in the 40 to 45psi range and the pressure should hold for several minutes.

If the pressure is too low or too high, you've got a fuel rail problem.

Some of us, including Randy and myself, have had a fuel return line clog develop. Your problem sounds similar.

As a test, you can pull the fuel psi regulator vacuum line off the plenum, then have someone turn the key to energize the fuel pump. Don't start the car, just turn the key enough to activate the accessories and charge the pump.

If gas comes dribbling out of the vacuum line, then the diaphragm in the regulator is bad and needs to be replaced. At that point, you also need to check for a return line line clogg at the regulator base.

If I am correct, fuel is leaking from the regulator into the plenum, causing your backfire and also stalling the engine.
